Revelados critérios na elaboração da lista de melhores álbuns de todos os tempos da Apple

As listas de classificação de melhores músicas, discos ou artistas são sempre controversas. E a recente lista dos 100 melhores álbuns de todos os tempos da Apple não é exceção. Muito pelo contrário, foi recebida com severas críticas.

A listagem traz no topo “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill”, de Lauryn Hill, seguido de “Thriller”, de Michael Jackson, e “Abbey Road”, dos Beatles. Os poucos representantes do rock não ficaram bem ranqueados, com “Nevermind”, do Nivrvana, na 9ª posição, “The Dark Side of the Moon”, do Pink Floyd, em 28º, e “Back in Black”, do AC/DC, na 90ª posição, por exemplo.

A Apple não deixou claro quem editou a lista e os critérios para sua elaboração foram mantidos relativamente em sigilo. Mas Ebro Darden, que é o Diretor Editorial Global de Hip-Hop e R&B da Apple Music, revelou que uma equipe recebeu diretrizes para fazer suas escolhas.

Em uma publicação no X (ex-Twitter), Darden apresentou os critérios para a escolha dos 100 melhores álbuns de todos os tempos. São eles:

1. Álbuns que representaram um momento cultural para o artista ou gênero.

2. Álbuns que eram pensamentos completos, não apenas coleções de canções de sucesso.

3. Álbuns que representam completamente a cultura na produção e nas letras.

4. Álbuns que inspiraram uma geração a querer criar mais música.

5. Álbuns que representam o MELHOR em storytelling, musicalidade, gravação e produção.

6. Álbuns que são atemporais e alcançaram muito além da categorização de gênero.
