Garbage: novo álbum já está finalizado

O Garbage confirmou que seu novo álbum de estúdio está finalizado. Foi o que escreveu no Instagram a vocalista Shirley Manson.

Na legenda da foto que pode ser observada abaixo, ela diz: “É oficial. Finalmente terminamos nosso sétimo trabalho e entregamos aos nossos novos parceiros da BMG”.

Shirley acrescentou: “Sentei-me esta noite com nosso engenheiro (e meu marido) para ouvi-lo do começo ao fim e tenho que admitir, eu me senti muito presunçosa sobre tudo”.

No mês passado, a cantora conversou com a revista americana Rolling Stone e deu alguns detalhes sobre o sucessor de Strange Little Birds, lançado em 2016. Questionada sobre o futuro do Garbage,  revelou: “Temos um novo disco sendo mixado e pronto para ser lançado no ano que vem”.

Sobre o lançamento, Shirley destacou que o mercado da música mudou muito. “Estamos revendo nosso negócio e mudando a forma como lançamos álbuns nos últimos oito anos”, explicou.

There were far more important things happening this week so I didn’t want to crow but we have big news in the house of garbage. It is official. We have finally finished #7 and delivered it, hook line and sinker to our new business partners @bmguk. I sat tonight with our engineer (and my long suffering husband) to listen to it from top to bottom and I have to admit , I felt pretty smug about it all, if the truth be told. Love you lots.
