Brian May diz que há gravações inéditas do Queen com David Bowie

A colaboração de David Bowie na obra do Queen resultou num dos maiores clássicos da música, “Under Pressure”.

Mas as gravações do cantor com a banda britânica em julho de 1981, no Mountain Studios de Montreux, na Suíça, não ficaram por ali.

Numa entrevista para a Radio X de Londres, o guitarrista Brian May contou que durante as sessões de gravação houve mais material gravado entre os músicos.

“Nem tudo o que fizemos naquela ocasião foi revelado até hoje”, afirmou o músico sem precisar o número de faixas que foram registradas.

Ele também não disse se trabalha neste momento para que o material seja lançado, mas deixou no ar essa possibilidade para o futuro.

A declaração de Brian May não surpreende quem conhece um pouco a história da parceria entre a banda e David Bowie, já que há algum tempo foi revelada a faixa “Cool Cat”.

Trata-se de uma música na qual todos os instrumentos são interpretados por John Deacon, incluindo bateria, guitarra e sintetizadores, enquanto Freddie Mercury canta em falsete durante todo o tempo e David Bowie faz voz de apoio.

Infelizmente essa contribuição de Bowie não chegou a ser lançada porque ele pediu que sua voz fosse removida da música, afirmando simplesmente que “não gostou do que fez”.
